NSW: Carr Government holds strong poll lead
SOCOG's Olympic ticketing affair has failed to dent the New South Wales government's popularity.
Bulletin-Morgan Poll results show support for the Carr government is strong at 46 per
cent, falling just half a percentage point during Olympic Minister MICHAEL KNIGHT'S stormy
November with SOCOG.
The Liberal-National Party Coalition is trailing on 35.5 per cent, up two per cent
on the last survey.
During the poll period, a review of the premium Games ticket scheme made a damning
assessment of SOCOG's senior management as well as Mr KNIGHT'S role as Minister and president
of the organising committee.
The Australian Democrats have gained 0.5 per cent to reach 5.5 per cent and PAULINE
HANSON'S One Nation Party is steady at 3.5 per cent.
A total of 1,500 electors in the state took part in the poll.
